When selecting soil products for your backyard, read the label to make sure you use only products that are made from recycled green materials.
Agromin offers five different bagged products to consumers: outdoor planting mix, soil conditioner, all purpose potting soil, vegetable garden mix and walk-on bark. Soil amendments, bark and mulches are available in bulk. Plus, Agromin's four garden kits (culinary herb, salsa, pesto herb and "Carrots for Kids") come with soil made from recycled green materials.
Just like farmers who use Agromin products, backyard gardeners also find Agromin soil products hold in moisture so landscapes need less water. A mulch topping keeps weeds at bay and pests in check so there is less need for herbicide and pesticide use.
Agromin soil products are certified by the U.S. Composting Council (USCC). The certification means Agromin has met the USCC standards for compost content and its soil products are clean and safe.
Note: Green waste in landfills is a major producer of greenhouse gases. A California law, the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, caps greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. Green waste recycling is one way of reducing greenhouse gas production.
