We protect and preserve the precious limited resource of Soil, by sustainably renewing it ...
one Soil Container ... one Landscape ... one Community ... one City ... at a time.
Working the soil, so the soil will work for us.
Healthy soil is the foundation of the food system. It produces healthy crops that in turn nourish people. We are fortunate to make our living working with the Earth. If we do our work correctly, the results are both beneficial and beautiful, and they contribute to real sustainability.
We seek the answers right under our feet. If we properly care for soil, we can produce a world that feeds, clothes, houses and respects everyone. But to do that, we must understand how precious our soil is. And we must understand that only healthy soil will support an intricate web of life. If we can understand the complex soil food-web, then we will see why it is our responsibility to care for the land correctly.
As earth stewards, we all can do our part to create a world that will sustain all of its inhabitants.
Balancing ecology with economics.
Ecology and economics seem to inhabit two very different realms, but for our planet to thrive, our economic systems need to be in tune with our ecosystems.
The current disconnect between these two systems puts pressure on the structures that make life possible on Earth. As a result, the soil ecosystem is increasingly under stress. This burden threatens the long-term ability of people and societies to survive and thrive. Add to growing consumption and increased human numbers the twin challenges of climate change and accelerating natural resource scarcity, and you have a planet headed on an unsustainable path.
Agromin seeks solutions based on the understanding that ecosystem preservation is a critical foundation for ongoing economic prosperity, rather than an impediment to economic growth.
